J. Cartel grew up in Long Island, NY with Mom, Dad, and siblings. He started DJ'ing when he was in 11th grade after he found that he had a knack for picking Hip Hop music and putting dope mixed tapes together. Soon after he began doing parties and then he met up with Ten, and now the rest is history.
